Friday: Saw crystal castles. It is confirmed that I will crush on any lady who is in a band. Concert described as a sweaty, strobe, dance, workout, jazzercize, time with music from Nintendo that is remixed by dance beats, while PUNKybrewster shouts along. Since this college cannot have two consecutive rager nights sat was spent lazing about. Watching sex and the city (which has some REAL problematic racial relations) and is really campy. I had not see this show since I was watching it on two volume bars and trying to learn about sex as a young teenager.
Also saw a surprise from my friend lady V. the Surprise…watching sleepover, which surprisingly has a homoerotic narrative between the two best friends…suggests that the mother is having a lesbian affair with some other lady. And makes it undeniably clear that the brother in the film is a junky…he is always asking for money, is dazed and confused, has serious munchies, and is “away” from college. Who knew sleepover would tackle such serious subjects?
