In an age where there are more music blogs than there are liquor stores and churches in urban communities (my pc editor is making me not type the hood…ooops), it is damn near impossible to be the first to have anything. Most, really all, of these groups already have a bunch of hype/press. Admittedly most had a bunch of hype/press when I started listening to them two months ago. Regardless, I wanted to share some groups that I have been digging lately. It ain’t the freshest bread, but if you live in middle america somewhere and your friends are not all abunch of blog music fiends you could appear to the first. Or you could just realize you enjoy some of this and put all that “first” business under the bed. santo gold is pretty good. i heard her on the radio a couple of weeks ago. i can’t speak much as to the rest of them, but i’ll give ‘em a listen, seeing as you generally seem to have decent taste in music. a veces.
