Keystone Light, Coors, and Gender/Feminism?

July 16, 2008 · 3 Comments

Have you heard the party fact that Keystone Light is actually just Coors beer in a dented can?

There is this story that goes that the only difference between Coors light beer and Keystone light beer is the packaging and the can.  Some say that during packaging cans that are somehow dented are labeled with Keystone light and that cans that are dent-free are labeled and filled with Coors Light.

If you by a 30 rack of Keystone light you will notice that in fact all the cans are dented-though often only subtly.

If you hold a keystone light can next to a coors light can you will notice they are the same size.

If you taste them, you will notice there is really no difference between the two (i dare you to pepsi challenge this).

But still it is hard, damn near impossible even, to get a confirmed answer from coors (hmm wonder why).

Anyway this begs a huge philosophical question.

If this myth is true, does this mean that Keystone Light and Coors Light are the same beer?

Or does the label and the dented can make them different?

They are priced differently.

Marketed differently

and in the minds of many different.

But are they actually different?

Are they the same until they are labeled?

Are they same even after they are labeled?

Answer the question.

NOW think about someone who is trans.

Are they what people think they are?

Are they whatever is on the inside?

OR are they whatever is on the outside?

Are they really just the same as everyone else?

What do you think?

I HAVE A BEER MEISTER AND USED TO BUY COORS LIGHT. I WAS TOLD THAT KEYSTONE LIGHT WAS THE SAME, SO I BOUGHT KEYSTONE LIGHT. I COULDN’T TELL THE DIFFERANCE BETWEEN THE TWO AT ALL. A HUGH PRICE DIFFERANCE WAS ALL I COULD SEE. PERSONALLY I THINK THERE THE SAME BEER. YOU PAY FOR THE ADVERTISING OF COORS LIGHT.

I have been told that Keystone is the overflow off of Coors at some point in the brewing process but it’s from the same batch therefore it’s the same thing. Basically take a 12 oz can of Coors and pour it in a 10 oz glass the 2 oz that overflows is now Keystone.

It’s the difference between Toyota and Lexus… Lexus has fancier trim but they share the same guts (frame, engine, etc)…

    Here’s a better question:
If you put brand new Pumas and a thrift store jacket on a hipster, is it the same hipster?
